About a little over a year ago I signed up for Henry Schein's Dental Practice sales email list to see local listings in my area as they came available. Every now and then I would see the emails as I was preparing myself to make a purchase on my first dental practice. I even contacted Christy Conway, Transition Sales Consultant, last year about possibly helping me buy a practice I was at the time associating with as the owner doctor was preparing himself for retirement. Some months went by, and then one morning I saw an email for a San Diego Listing and as I read the details about the practice I reached out to Christy for more information to which she told me there is an Open House that Saturday. She sets up an appointment for me. She sent me a link to get Pre-qualified that night. I get the pre-qualifications done.
Decided that Saturday morning that I would take my wife and kids to the open house. As soon as my wife and I walked in we both fell in love with the practice. Every part of the practice was something I had always dreamed about having. A place where I could finally be comfortable providing care to people the way they deserved. I told Christy that I wanted this practice and to guide me in making it happen. The next Monday I had a meeting with the Owner Doctor and Christy. I explained why I fell in love with the practice and what it would mean to me as a practitioner to have this space. A couple hours later Christy gave me a call to let me know that the owner accepted my offer and guided me through the next steps.
She made the whole process so easy for me by guiding me to the right Lawyer, Consultant, and working with the Lender I was pre-approved with. We set a close date about 60 days from the start. Now was the time that things started to move really quickly and I mentally wasn't even prepared for this transition. Some nerves began kicking in as the days went by and we were getting closer and closer to a close date. But Christy was there every step of the way checking in making sure I was comfortable at the pace. Had it not been for my disability insurance taking a little longer than anticipated it would have only taken just over 30 days from start to close. She and her team at Henry Schein did a great job making sure everything was organized from start to finish.
I can't thank them enough for making this such a smooth and easy process for me. I know it's not always like that for everyone but they sure made it seem like it's that easy to get done!
