Our efforts to sell our practice and retire began in the Fall of 2019. After being unsuccessful at finding a buyer, a colleague referred us to Jay Harter from Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions. Henry Schein's comprehensive evaluation was the first step that made a difference. Then, even with the challenges that COVID brought in 2020, Jay brought us two offers. He later added Scott Weinberger to the team, and the two of them covered all bases and were attentive to every need and concern. We also hired Robert Sanders as our legal counsel. Without each of these individuals and their insight and experience, we might not have had a successful sale. There were hurdles we didn't expect, but they knew how to handle every difficult situation and closed the sale. Before this experience, we had no idea how important the right professionals are to a successful sale. We're very grateful.
