Executive Director, Transition Services
Charles Costa leverages his extensive experience in practice transitions to set strategy for the U.S. leader in dental practice sales, practice valuations, and transition services. He had previously been the Senior Director of Operations of Henry Schein Dental Practice Transitions overseeing the acquisition of two U.S. brokerage businesses and the company’s international expansion into the U.K.
Charles joined the company in 2010 when The Snyder Group, LLC., the dental consulting firm he had co-founded 13 years earlier, was acquired by Henry Schein. Prior to that, he served as EVP/Partner of a multi-location, multi-specialty dental group practice for 15 years. Charles also had experience as an owner/operator of a business consulting company, after spending 12 years in the banking business as an administrator and lender. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of a regional commercial bank in the Philadelphia area. Charles has successfully closed thousands of practice sales, partnerships, facility-sharing arrangements, and DSO transactions, as well as provided financial consulting services to hundreds of dental practice owners.
Senior Director, Transition Services
Marna Erlich, Esq. is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law. Prior to joining Henry Schein, Marna practiced law in New York and New Jersey. She successfully closed hundreds of practice sales and partnership transactions over her career in private practice. In 2017, she was named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry, as an industry leader, by the Dental Products Report. Marna directs a team of professionals throughout the United States while also being directly involved in thousands of transactions, where she supports associate placement and brokerage businesses, practice sales, and partnerships.
Thomas L. Snyder, DMD, MBA
Senior Director, Transition Services
Dr. Tom Snyder is a former Department Chair at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Dr. Snyder is currently a member of the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He also serves on the editorial boards of several national publications and is a regular contributor to Dental Economics. He is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and consultant who has been advising dentists for over 30 years in dental practice strategic planning, practice valuations, and dental partnership formation. Dr. Snyder received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine and his MBA from The Wharton School, Graduate Division, at the University of Pennsylvania.
Krista Butler, BS, MBA
National Sales Manager
Krista Butler has more than 20 years of success in the dental business. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University and has been with Henry Schein since 2002. Krista began her career with Henry Schein Dental as a Zone Technology Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region overseeing technology sales. She went on to become the Regional Manager in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2012, Krista began working for Henry Schein Dental Practice Transitions as a part-time Sales Consultant while continuing her role as Regional Manager. In 2015 she became a full-time Transition Sales Consultant
She was the top producer during her five years as a Henry Schein Transition Sales Consultant. In 2019 she was promoted to a newly created position of National Sales Manager, where she works closely with the Transition Sales Consultants to develop new territories, to facilitate the sharing of best practices among the Consultants, and to support the development of new and existing Consultants to grow the business. As a long-time Henry Schein Dental employee and former Transition Sales Consultant, Krista understands the priorities of the dental business and has strong relationships across Henry Schein Dental, and can help Henry Schein Dental Practice Transitions to best serve its customers.
National Practice Transition Manager
Before joining Henry Schein Professional Dental Transitions as National Practice Transition Manager, Scott Weinberger transitioned dozens of practices all around New York’s “Capital Region” and Hudson Valley. Previously, Scott practiced as an attorney who represented dentists buying or selling practices and worked in Contracting at one of New York’s largest hospitals. Scott is passionate about setting the table for dental practice buyers to have decades of success and transitioning selling doctors out-of-practice in time for a vibrant and active retirement.
Jason Gamble, MBA
East Regional Sales Manager
Jason Gamble is also a veteran of the dental industry, having been involved in thousands of dental transitions over the last 22 years. Prior to joining Henry Schein, Jason had varied field experience in this space as a dental practice broker, with a premier dental acquisition financing lender, and working for a National DSO. Jason earned his MBA from Ashland University.

West Regional Sales Manager
Dan Van Eps is the Western Regional Sales Manager for Henry Schein Dental Practice Transitions. Dan Van Eps is a Colorado native and has been a leader in the dental industry for the last 20 years. Dan founded and grew two successful dental technology companies in the Rocky Mountain States, and was the COO of the largest national dental real estate firm. Dan brings vast knowledge and real-life experience in business management, growth, consulting, and transitions. Dan’s first love is being with his family and friends, especially if he can be in the mountains hiking, trout fishing, or jeeping.
