Dr. Eugene Heller
Vice President, Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions
Dr. Eugene Heller has led Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions since its inception. A graduate of Marquette University’s School of Dentistry, his prior academic background included accounting and tax consulting for small businesses. Prior to joining Henry Schein, Dr. Heller owned and ran his own practice, where he developed an extensive background in practice management. He has consulted on hundreds of practice transitions involving the sale of practices and the formation of partnerships, group practices and office sharing arrangements, in addition to conducting appraisals for many of these transitions.
Thomas L. Snyder, DMD, MBA
Director of Practice Transitions
Dr. Tom Snyder is a Senior Director with Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions. A former Department Chair at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Dr. Snyder is currently a member of the faculty of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He also serves on the editorial boards of several national publications and is a regular contributor to Dental Economics. He is a nationally recognized speaker, author, and consultant who has been advising dentists for over 30 years in dental practice strategic planning, practice valuations and dental partnership formation. Dr. Snyder received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Dental Medicine and his MBA from The Wharton School, Graduate Division, at the University of Pennsylvania.
Director of Practice Transitions
As Managing Director of Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions’ corporate office and sales team, Mr. Charles Costa has extensive experience in practice transitions. He was a partner in the dental consulting firm, The Snyder Group, LLC., for 13 years and prior-to that, he served as EVP/Partner of a multi-location, multi-specialty dental group practice for 15 years . Mr. Costa owned and operated a business consulting company after spending 12 years in the banking business as an administrator and lender. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors of a regional commercial bank in the Philadelphia area. Mr. Costa has successfully closed hundreds of practice sales, partnerships, facility-sharing arrangements, as well as has provided financial consulting services for a large number of dental practice owners.
M. Marna Erlich
Director Transition Services
Ms. M. Marna Erlich, Esq. is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law. Prior to joining Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions, Ms. Erlich practiced law in New Jersey. Her experience representing dental professionals and assisting Henry Schein PPT services for many years made her a natural addition to the team, where she supports the brokerage business, practice sales, and partnerships.
National Sales Manager
Krista Butler has more than 20 years of success in the dental business. She earned a Master of Business Administration from Pfeiffer University and has been with Henry Schein since 2002. Krista began her career with Henry Schein Dental as a Zone Technology Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic Region overseeing technology sales. She went on to become the Regional Manager in Baltimore, Maryland. In 2012, Krista began working for Henry Schein Professional Practice Transitions (Henry Schein PPT) as a part-time Sales Consultant while continuing her role as Regional Manager. In 2015 she became a full-time Henry Schein PPT Sales Consultant.
She was the top producer during her five years as a Henry Schein Transition Sales Consultant. In 2019 she was promoted to a newly created position of National Sales Manager for Henry Schein PPT, where she works closely with the Transition Sales Consultants to develop new territories, to facilitate the sharing of best practices among the Consultants, and to support the development of new and existing Consultants to grow the business. As a long time Henry Schein Dental employee and former Henry Schein Transition Sales Consultant, Krista understands the priorities of the dental business and has strong relationships across Henry Schein Dental and can help Henry Schein PPT to best serve its customers.
